Give back often and with joy!
A large part of our mission at GraceFull is to give back to our community and inspire others in our community to do the same.
GraceFull Foundation is our parallel 501(c)3 non-profit entity through which we invest in the Littleton community by helping to combat the issue of food insecurity, creating opportunities to gather as a community to encourage personal involvement and building connections, and empowering people to strive to cook healthier meals in their own kitchens.
At GraceFull all guests are welcome whether or not they can pay for their meal. Having access to one good meal a day can have a lot more impact than it may seem. It is hard to face any of life’s greater challenges like housing, employment, and addiction when you are not sure where your next meal may be coming from. Grace in Action (GIA) meals are meals that are paid for up to 100% by GraceFull Foundation. Daily tips and donations at the register help pay for these meals.
Volunteering at GraceFull
It takes approximately 100 volunteers each month to run the cafe as we have limited full-time staff. Our volunteers allow us to be able to keep prices as low as we can for guests, and we also want to invite the community into our mission by extending an opportunity to serve with us.
You don’t have to have any special cooking skills! We’re just looking for people that enjoy learning, serving in their community and meeting new people.
Currently our morning volunteer shifts are 8 – 11 am and our afternoon shifts are 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Due to our small space and management team, we are unable to accommodate group volunteering requests. We encourage groups to come join us for a meal and support our cafe along with enjoying a learning opportunity with one of our staff members. Alternately, for groups of 6 – 20 volunteers, you might be interested in sponsoring a Fund a Friday or Community Breakfast. These sponsorships involve a financial investment in our Grace in Action meals program along with volunteer roles. Contact Julie at foundation@gracefullcafe.com for further information on these opportunities.
