Events

Our goal is to be a gathering place in the community for people to eat well, develop new friendships, make new connections, and have opportunities to give back to their community. We want to make a difference in people’s everyday lives. One way we do this is through our many events. These include:

  • Community Breakfast – Typically on the first Saturday of the month, we hold a community breakfast where all are invited to join us. All volunteers and meal costs are covered by a sponsor. We invite anyone to enjoy a free meal with a beautiful community.
  • Volunteer Events – Most months we have a special event for our volunteers to engage in outside of our daily volunteer shifts.  They range from educational events around important community topics like homelessness or mental health training, to just fun gatherings with food and an activity to meet other volunteers.
  • Community Events – Several times a year we host community events, meetings or forums to share the foundation work, encourage networking within the community and foster connections with local resources.
  • Thanksgiving – The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we host a free Thanksgiving meal and invite our community to join us at one of our four seatings throughout the day at 12, 2, 4 and 6 pm. This is one of our favorite celebrations of the year.
